Hey there! I’m Oliver, a big enthusiast of F1 video games for over ten years now. I’ve logged loads of hours playing all the Codemasters titles since F1 2010 (hundreds of hours on many of them and played all of them extensively), along with some classic gems from Sony like F1 2004, 2005, and the Championship Edition of 2006.
I’ve gained experience racing both online and offline, and I’m excited to share my insights by addressing common questions people have about F1 games.
I keep a close eye on both the online and real-world F1 scenes, regularly tuning into YouTubers like Jarno Opmeer, Limitless, Tom97, Matt212, and others. I stay updated on the happenings in major F1 eSports leagues like WOR and PSGL.
While this blog may not become a massive site, I aim to contribute valuable setup and info content for each game cycle, the current F1 24, focusing on enhancing the experience for new and struggling players. This blog isn’t for top level players, but more designed to help beginners and intermediate level players develop and improve using my setups and tips.
Here’s what I’ll be focusing on:
- Car setups and handling tips, particularly for controller users. A lot of the existing information online caters to wheel users, but as a pad users myself I’ll be dedicated to helping those who play with pads/controllers.
- Setups will also be race focused setups with an emphasis on stability, consistency and ease of handling (single lap pace Time Trial setups have never interested me so readers will have to look elsewhere for those types of configurations).
- Assisting new players who might be facing handling difficulties or general challenges in the F1 games, offering setup, tweaks, suggestions, and tips to make the experience both challenging and enjoyable.
I’ve also recently jumped into the MotoGP games, starting with the demanding MotoGP 22 and the toned down and more fun MotoGP 23. I’ll also post setup and track guides I’ve done for these games in my shop when I get time. I’ll also have some free MotoGP content on my blog, again aimed at making these (very tricky) games easier to get used to for newer players.
Enjoy your racing!
